ENERGY EFFICIENCY
The efficiency of furnaces are determined by its AFUE (Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency). For example a rating of "80% AFUE" means that for each dollar spent heating your house; only 80 cents are applied to the actual generation of heat. Older model furnace may be 60% AFUE furnaces or lower. Canada's standard of 78% for new furnaces is a significant improvement. However, Coleman and Goodman brand furnaces we sell off higher efficiency.
